Meet the Photographer

 

I’m Samantha Steele, mom to three gorgeous girls, and it’s only in 2023, at the grand old age of 37, that this long-standing hobby of mine blossomed into a career.

I’ve always been passionate about photography, and after exhaustively and comprehensively photographing my kids, my friends and their kids, and family, I decided to branch out into offering this skill as a service to others.

I truly believe photographs are important, and though I’ve always been creative, I find my true medium of expression, exploration and creativity is photography (though I dabble in watercolour, play with my Cricut and have been a writer for close to 2 decades).

Like in my writing, I also love exploring people in more detail and thus am also experimenting with portraiture, the intimate details and signs of closeness in a photography session, and love being given the opportunity to photograph people.

Samantha Steele has worked as a senior content strategist and is an experienced features writer with more than a decade in journalism and by-lines in Mail&Guardian, Daily Maverick, ELLE, Marie Claire, Forbes Africa, and more.
