Did you know that motherhood can “unmask” ADHD symptoms? You think you’re coping with life, then BAM! the chaos of motherhood breaks your brain. I’ve thought about this a lot as I read more “neurospicy” content and realise a lot of my quirky characteristics and childhood stories could all be linked to undiagnosed ADHD (inattentive type, most likely). Juggling my darling children, my photography business and my other freelance work certainly gave my poor little brain a run for its money, and after a chaotic 2024, I’ve simplified things a bit.
This means a more streamlined work process, fewer projects, and intentionally taking on less bookings so I can focus on the ones I have. Photography, after all, brings me immense joy, and I deplore feeling like I’m disappointing the people who have trusted me to capture this special season of their life. With this in mind, my November is almost fully booked (only one space left at the end of the month) so please do contact me if you’re interested in an intentional and creative session.

In the meanwhile, here is a throwback to a recent session I thoroughly enjoyed with a very loving family. The Mabhena’s are kind, thoughtful and fun and they’re intrinsic love of each other came through in the photos at Lewis Family Farms.
“We recently had Samantha take pictures of our family in celebration of our daughter’s second birthday. The whole experience with Samantha was seamless, from booking up to receiving the pictures. We are happy with her work and would definitely use her services again. Such a kind, patient and thoughtful lady. Thank you Samantha”
