Several things stood out for me about this photoshoot:

• Baby Linder was 2 months old – a newborn shoot doesn’t have to happen in the first week if you’re not feeling up to it
• It’s best to photograph mom and baby alone, in the bedroom, first. Get those breastfeeding shoots, chat, get comfortable, and then bring in dad and extended family once baby is happy and full of milk.
• A textured blanket (woven or knitted) looks incredible in black and white photos.
• The goal of a shoot like this is to capture the raw love, intimacy, and the minute details of that tiny baby body before they grow (which they do, so quickly!)
